Touch Radar is just as the name describes: Just touch the radar map to zoom in for a closer, detailed look!
Description:
√ Touch Radar is a fully zoom-able radar for the United States. There is also radar coverage for Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, but there is it only a broad radar view (see note below).
√ Just simply start with an animated view of the region/country and simply touch the part of the map youd like to zoom into and Touch Radar will take you there. All Radars are animated.
***NOTE: Zoom capabilities are limited in areas outside of the United States. Highly zoom-able maps are only available for the US at this time***
Features:
√ You can shake the device at anytime to set your region/countrys radar as your default. Arrows on each side of the map allow you to move up, down, left or right to the next adjacent radar site!

Pros and cons of Touch Radar app for iPhone and iPad
Touch Radar app good for
Really, not bad. There are not too many radar apps that have coverage of Australia! Or Europe, or Mexico. Along with the US that is. And not for 99 cents. That being said, the interface could stand to be spruced up - something as simple as allowing full screen viewing in landscape mode like Mr. Parkers "USA Radars" would be a good start. It does have a different look than all of the other radars, but I like having alternatives. It also has a hidden feature - if you pull the map up slightly, you have other map options, like cloud cover. Available on the US maps at least. The author is also very responsive to customer comments and suggestions.
This is a wonderful app. Big coverage, easy to use, full of info! Radar with storm tracks in US, unprecedented world coverage, forecast map option, cloud cover maps! This is not my only radar app but it is my new favorite weather app when I want the Big Picture! What a deal for only 99 cents!
Good deal for a buck.. RainRate, temps, everything all right there.. I like being able to touch and just zoom to an area to pick what Im interested in seeing.
Great app just to let you know u dont have a ez radar for minisota
Some bad moments
You do get a radar image but it doesnt appear accurate when compared to the weather channel map or maybe it just doesnt update regularly. Also, it doesnt take advantage of all of iPhones features such as scrolling and pinch/squeeze.
This is the first time I felt I the need to write a review. This is the only app I have downloaded yet that I am not happy with. The display area within the main screen is so small, you cant see anything. The touch requires numerous strokes to get it to work. The implication from the add is that you can zoom in for all of the areas/countries covered. This is not true. Mexico for example is covered on one very small display with no ability to zoom at all. The Caribbean can zoom only to one Island. Even in the US, when you zoom all the way, the display is so small it is not worth the effort. There are so many apps and free sites that have the same info and capabilty with a better display, that I regret buying this one.
This needs more features. It is very limited, and is hard to zoom.
Like so many things sold/given/developed for use by those of us in the US, two states always seem to be forgotten. Alaska and Hawaii are not available on this app. Not a big problem if youre not interested in these places, but when you live in one of these states and expect to see them included in "coverage of the US" its disappointing!!!!!
I cannot find this useful or helpful. Lo-res. Not optimized for an iPad. RadarScope is far superior.
